Elementary Coding Online Sites




My blog is dedicated to provide resources and reflections on my journey teaching elementary school students how to code. I chose this topic because it is a personal passion and I thought it would motivate me to attempt to put all of my resources in one location!

Some of the educators I follow and learn from are:

Mitch Resnick - Director of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab
Marina Bers - Tufts University Professor

Coding in the elementary schools is gaining in popularity thanks to the huge efforts make by the folks at code.org. They have gotten funding and have been fantastic at their PR efforts.

    I am excited to learn all about elementary coding since I do not know much about it. The only thing I have really heard about is the hour of code which the older students at my school participate in. It is great to see that you are taking your passion for something and sharing the knowledge! I am excited to learn more about it :)
